Comment on Gigacorp Revenue - Question II
I don't understand why we
There are 3 different routes
There are 3 different routes (points of sale) through which the company makes money: catalog, in store, and online.
So, for example, the diagram tells us that, in 2003, the company had about 3 million dollars in revenue.
Of that $3,000,000:
- about $400,000 was through online sales
- about $1,700,000 was through in store sales
- about $900,000 was through catalog sales
Here, we can see that the revenue from in store sales ($1,700,000) was more than 50% of the TOTAL revenue of $3,000,000
So, answer choice A (2003) is correct because one point of sales (in the case, in store sales) accounted for more than 50% of the company's total revenue for that year.
Does that help?

That's correct; we are examining the revenue for each individual year.
